Lisa is a trained butcher & charcutier living in Burnham Thorpe, on the stunning Norfolk coast. Having gained a foundation degree in artisan food production in 2010 under the guidance of Ray Smith (the River Cottage master butcher) & working as a freelance butcher, Lisa set up Norfolk Charcuterie in 2016 whilst on maternity leave. Inspiration comes from many family travels to France and Holland. Having 3 older brothers has given her a good sense of humour and resilience, necessary for thriving in a very male dominated profession. As a student Ray was always impressed at her skill with a saw, a skill gratefully inherited from her cabinet maker father.
Lisa is also a BPEX accredited sausage & pie judge, a member of the institute of meat, tutor at Borough market meat school & has presented demonstrations/workshops at Harrods, The Waterford Harvest Festival, The school of Artisan Food & county shows.
